Nettle Eating Sponsorship

lovely nettles fit for eating The Campaign Against Climate Change is a national charity that SLACC has supported since we started in 2007. It is currently very short of money, and is organising a fundraising fortnight (10th - 24th April) to help raise money.

As part of this fortnight, Sonny Khan will be doing a sponsored nettle eating at Abbot Hall Park in kendal, on Saturday 23rd April, 12 noon. The aim will be too eat as many nettles as possible in 30 minutes. The nettles will be eaten fresh off the plant. There will be no cooking. Sonny will be allowed to drink water only while he is eating.

Please help us to raise money to sponsor this event. Each leaf will need to be carefully chewed to avoid stinging the inside of his mouth, so we are asking people to sponsor Sonny 5p for each raw leaf he eats. If he eats 100 leaves in 30 mins that will be £5.

We will also be serving up nette soup to the public to encourage donations and to support eating local, sustainable food!
